Day 1
DEPARTURE DAY - Meet at school and transfer to the airport for your overnight flight to France!
Day 2
ARRIVAL PARIS - Meet your guide and begin your tour of Paris. Pass by the Notre Dame Cathedral, and visit the Latin Quarter. In the evening, enjoy a cruise on the River Seine.
After dinner, check into your Paris hotel.
Day 3
PARIS - stroll along the Champs Elysees and climb the Arc de Triomphe, one of the most famous monuments in Paris that stands in the center of the Place Charles de Gaulle. . In the afternoon, visit the Louvre, home of the famous painting, "Mona Lisa".
After dinner, enjoy going to the Eiffel Tower for a spectacular view of Paris by night.
Day 4
MARSEILLE - Catch the morning train to the Cote d'Azur region of France. Have a tour of Marseille. Travel by boat to Chateau d’If, a former prison turned fortress. After your tour, return to Marseille.
Day 5
AIX EN PROVENCE - Spend the day in this university city. See how many of the 1,000 fountains you can find as you wander through the cobblestone streets in the old town. Listen to a pop-up musical performance on the street and if there is time, walk to Fondation Vasarely and see the optical and kinetic art piece by Victor Vasarely.
Return to Marseille in the evening.
Day 6
AVIGNON & ARLES - In the morning, travel to Avignon located on the Rhone River. In the 1300s this was the principal seat of the Catholic popes until becoming part of France. Visit the Pope's Palace, and spend time in the historic center. Climb to the top of the medieval city walls for a photo opportunity at Dom’s Garden; overlooking the gorgeous views of the countryside and the Rhone River.
En route back to Marseille stop in Arles and have a guided tour of the Vincent Van Gogh Foundation before returning to Marseille.
Day 7
SAINT PAUL DE VENCE - Early morning departure towards Nice. Stop in Saint Paul de Vence to explore this medieval town. Rent bicycles and meander through this historical town that has had imprints from various famous artists throughout the years including Matisse, Picasso, and Renoir. Pass by all the historical monuments, modern-day shops, and art galleries.
Continue to Nice and check into your hotel
Day 8
NICE - In the morning, visit the Matisse Museum, have an overview tour, and enjoy the Promenade des Anglais next to the Mediterranean. and then enjoy free time on the beaches or spend time in the Old Town.
Day 9
NICE - Free day in Nice. Spend time shopping or visiting the beaches to reflect on your trip to Paris and the French Riviera.
Have a nice farewell dinner and get ready for your flight home.
Day 10
RETURN HOME - You will be transported to the airport for your flight home.
