Holiday Travel Tips

Traveling during the holiday season can be quite an experience. Here are a few holiday travel tips to help you reach your destination smoothly:

1. Give yourself enough time to get there

Since many people are out and about getting their shopping done or visiting family and friends, you can almost guarantee that there will be extra traffic on the roads during the holidays. Whether you’re heading to the airport by bus to catch your flight, or driving your own vehicle to your Auntie’s house, be sure to leave yourself plenty of time so you aren’t frazzled when you arrive at your destination.

2. Avoid getting “Hangry” (aka bring some snacks)

Being “hangry” is a real thing! Becoming cranky during travel time due to being hungry can put extra stress on you and your traveling companions. Be sure to pack some extra snacks, especially when traveling with the kiddos!

3. Ship your gifts

If you are planning on traveling by plane this holiday season, think about shipping your gifts to your destination versus traveling with them. The last thing you’ll want to do is traipse around the airport with your arms full of packages and bags only to have security make you unwrap your beautiful, ribbon-donned gifts. Save yourself the hassle and ship them ahead of time.
