Magic, Mystery, and Madness in New York

Day 1:

Meet at school for an early departure to New York City! Arrive on Fifth Avenue for a visit to Harry Potter New York. Walk through the flagship entrance where you will be greeted by Fawkes, the supersized Phoenix.


Discover the Atrium of Awe where you will see the rotating Griffin that guards the entrance to Dumbledore’s office. Snap a photo at the Ministry Phone Box, explore the wand shop, confectionary, book store, and more.


Quench your thirst at the Butterbeer Bar before continuing on with your tour.


Walk to Times Square and have dinner. Afterward, see the Broadway performance: Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.


Check into your hotel for the night.


Day 2:

In the morning, continue your chilling tour and take the Roosevelt Island Tramway over the East River for a unique perspective of the city. Once known as Blackwell Island, discover this island’s history of madness and medicine. Visit the Gothic revival-style Renwick Ruins, the dilapidated building that was once a smallpox hospital. See the Octagon, a historic Octagonal building that served as the entrance to the New York City Mental Health Hospital. Learn about the weird and unorthodox methods once used to treat mentally ill patients.


Contemplate your eerie tour over a boxed lunch at the Four Freedoms Park before returning to Manhattan.


Spend some free time exploring Times Square in the afternoon. After dinner, have a ghost tour through Greenwich Village and discover the creepy history of one of the most haunted neighborhoods in New York City.


Day 3:

Finish your thrilling visit to New York with a windy experience atop the Empire State Building for a spectacular view of the city before departing for home.
